The photographic, movie and television material related to the municipal museums – even if it is in the applicant’s possession – cannot be reproduced without the authorization of the municipal administration and the payment of reproduction rights, according to the procedures that will be communicated after the receipt of the reproduction request (downloadable model at the bottom of the page).
Please note that the request for the reproduction of artworks must in any case be completed in the form provided in Italian. The courtesy translation here provided is to make the filling in of the application form easier, NOT TO BE USED.

RATES for the reproduction of artworks preserved in the municipal museums (San Severo Chapel, Civic Museum of Palazzo della Penna and Templar Complex of San Bevignate), deed approved G.C. n. 522/2018:
- Reproduction rights for photographs taken by the Administration (including shipping costs in high resolution format): €45,00 per image.
The rate is fixed for an image reproduced in a printed edition in a single language.
- Reprints of volumes of the same publisher: 50% off the fee for the reproduction rights in effect when publishing.
- Worldwide rights (multilingual publication): three times the fee for reproduction rights in effect when publishing.
- Image reuse:
a) by the same publisher for another work: 10% off the fee.
b) by another publisher: 25% off the fee.
Volumes with a circulation of up to 2.000 copies and with a retail price below €80,00, scientific periodicals, promotional material concerning cultural and/or scientific activities (invitations, posters, brochures, etc.), record right and use by the public television service (RAI) are exempted from the payment of the fee for reproduction rights: € 5,00 per image, by way a flat-rate of the expenses, for a possible transfer to CD.
Reproductions requested by individuals for a personal use, study purposes or enhancement are exempted from the fee payment for the reproduction rights: € 5,00 per image, by way a flat-rate of the expenses, for a possible transfer to CD.
Reproductions requested by exhibitions organizers, where works preserved in the museums of the municipality of Perugia are on loan, are exempted from the fee payment for the reproduction rights: € 5,00 per image, by way a flat-rate of the expenses, for a possible transfer to CD.
It is required to deliver to the administration no.2 copies of the publication.
Reproduction rights for photo shoots not taken by the Administration: €50,00 per shot.
The rate is fixed for photos shoot reproduced in a printed edition in a single language.
- Reprints of volumes of the same publisher: 50% off the fee for the reproduction rights in effect when publishing.
- Worldwide rights (multilingual publication): three times the fee for reproduction rights in effect when publishing.
Image reuse:
a) by the same publisher for another work: 10% off the fee.
b) by another publisher: 25% off the fee.

Reproduction rights for filming and television shoots: €1.000,00.
Security deposit or guarantee policy: €2.500,00
The fee is fixed for a single language edition or for a single TV network.
Worldwide rights (multilingual edition): three times the fee for the reproduction rights in effect when editing.
For further TV services:
a) no.2 services on the same network or masthead: 25% more than the rate
b) More than 2 services on the same network or masthead: 75% more than the rate.
Reproductions requested by individuals for a personal use, study purposes or enhancement, as long as they are implemented on a non-profit basis, i.e. by public figures for enhancement, as well as for record rights and use by the TV service, are exempted from the fee payment for the reproduction rights.
It is required to deliver to the Administration no.1 copy taken from the original.
Eventual expenses concerning the opening of the museum spaces during public closing hours can be determined case-by-case.
However, photos and videos are allowed in the municipal museums, as long as they are taken without any physical contact with the property, without flash or artificial lights and without a tripod, only if taken for activities on a non-profit basis, for study purposes, research, free manifestation of thought or creative expression, knowledge promotion of the cultural heritage, as regulated by D.L. gs. N.42/2004. Any divulgation of these photos must take place so that images cannot be further reproduced for profit.

Form for the Reproduction of art works
