The lands belonging to the monastery become garden
The area, most of which enclosed by a fence, is equipped for fun-sport activities. In here a training facility for the Athletics, former soccer stadium of Perugia, used also as an Arena for the concerts of Umbria Jazz.
The whole area is dominated by the ancient monastery of Santa Giuliana, founded in 1523 and at the moment site for the Italian Army Language School.
In the past the area was used as parade ground for military training and as livestock market afterwards; it was, in the period between the two wars, restored for a first time, restoration completed after the WWII that gave it its present aspect.
