Pievania Museum – “Giuseppe Laudati”
Via Tarragone (Chiesa of San Cristoforo), Corciano
Collection of the most significant testimonies of the story and devotion of Corciano community
The Pievania Museum, named after the artist from Corciano Giuseppe Laudati (1669-1737), is inside the Church of San Cristoforo. The church, dating back to 1537, shows outside a renaissance portal, of 1544; on the side of the structure, to be seen on the bases, big travertine ashlars, of Etruscan and Roman age.
Inside: sacred images, frescoes of the XV Century, finely inlaid and etched reliquaries, sacred vestments, ex voto and precious documents, as bulls, parchment, accounting records, inventories, granting of indulgences. Moreover works from the “bottega” of Fiorenzo di Lorenzo, of Romano Alberti from Sansepolcro and from the goldsmith workshop of Federico and Cesarino del Roscetto.

Entrance: € 3.00; reduced € 2.50 over 65 years of age; free under 14 years of age and disabled; € 2.00 pupils and free for accompanying teachers, € 2.50 per person in groups of 20 minimum. Collective ticket for 4 museums: € 7,00, reduced € 5,00 over 65 years of age and for groups over 20 persons.
