Trasimeno Music Festival

The Trasimeno Music Festival is a classical music event that takes place in a week of summer in various places of Perugia territory.

The association “Trasimeno Music Festival” was born by the encounter of the Municipality of Magione and Angela Hewitt, a famous Bach piano performer who fell in love with Trasimeno Lake and decided to cultivate her passion for the music in Umbria.

Over the years the concerts took place in many evocative locations as the Castello dei Cavalieri di Malta in Magione and San Pietro Abbey in Perugia, hosting big international performers and young talented musicians.

The Trasimeno Music Festival is quoted by the foreign  and national press as one of the most prestigious music festival in Italy. It contributes each year to broadcast classic music thanks to concert-classes in Umbrian schools and meetings with performers from all over the world.
