MACC Museum of contemporary Ceramic Art

Inside the Museum two permanent collections:

_Art vases for the new wine: on show mugs – the so-called “vaselle” of the Umbrian tradition, made by contemporary artists who, each year, to celebrate the new wine of the year, reinterpret the ancient and popular tradition of the pottery, proposing new types of “vaselle”. Since 2010 the "Vaselle d'Autore" is part of the "Versando Torgiano" manifestation, that furthermore underlines the importance of wine as a typical product of this territory. 

_The exhibition of the sculptor and ceramist Nino Caruso: it is a comparatively large collection of about  60 artworks from the early '50 of last century till today. The artworks show the complete artistic developments of the sculptor, and are a testimony of the contemporary ceramic art. Vases and oil-lamps evokes archaic forms of ancient civilities, mainly the Etruscan one, but also the African.
