MUSICA DAL MONDO started in the year 2000, curated by A.Gi.Mus and the Culture Department of Perugia Municipality, together with the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
Young choirs and orchestras, often conducted and accompanied by worldly famous soloists in the “Grand Tour” of the second millennium, arrive in Italy, considered a high quality step both by the musical tradition and the art in general.
The programme follow a very flexible schedule, in compliance with the most prestigious musical realities of Perugia: Umbria Jazz and Amici della Musica. The idea is successfully as witnessed by the increasing numbers of appointments of these late years; its strength is a slim and elastic formula and a new work approach: technology, English as international Language and social networks are today the tools that render productive the meeting of two needs: for the Municipality the organization of high quality concert to offer the city almost without costs, for the in-coming choirs and orchestras publicity, logistic help and, obviously, audience.
