San Matteo degli Armeni Library

San Matteo degli Armeni Municipal Library is concerned mainly on nonviolence, religious openness, peace education, human rights, multicultural and interreligious dialogue, Fair Trade.  

Opened in 2012, it hosts Aldo Capitini collection, donated by the Fondazione Centro Studi Aldo Capitini, the documentation centre 'Elisabetta Campus' of Amnesty International Umbria and the ARPA Umbria Library, with environmental documentation.

Part of the green area surrounding the Library is dedicated to “orti urbani” (urban green gardens), managed by the district of Porta Sant'Angelo Association 'Vivi il borgo'. On 6^th March 2016 was opened the Giardino dei Giusti del Mondo (Garden of the righteous of the world).  

Since June 2015 the library is also site for civil weddings.
