Oratorio of San Francesco dei Nobili

Via degli Sciri, 6

The sacred luxury of the Baroque

One of the most interesting examples of the early Baroque in Perugia, in the vestibule there is a fine stucco work by Jean Regnaud of Champagne (1675‑76); it also has coffered ceiling in gilt wood and precious seats and carved woodwork by Zuccari.

On the walls is the most important painting cycle by G.A. Scaramuccia (1611-27), and in the sacristy is a painting of the Flagellation (1480) attributed to Pietro Galeotto.
