GSN – Gallery of Natural History

Casalina di Deruta, via del Risorgimento - Manifattura ex tabacchi

A multi-coloured world!

Thanks to the collections of naturalists, explorers and scientists of centuries past, in the gallery exhibition space you will be able to travel back through time, among lions, antelopes, bears, deer, snakes, crocodiles, scorpions, butterflies, beetles, fossils, rocks and minerals, through the most extraordinary and fascinating feature of the planet Earth ... its diversity!

Spend a day at the museum, accompanied and guided by the curators of collections, to discover the ancient stories of rocks, plants and animals in the course of a visit full of… unexpected encounters!

The Gallery exhibition areas present samples that represent a diverse mosaic of the natural world that surrounds us, from the organisms that populated the planet in the earliest times, to our neighbours today, that live in the countless environments that characterize the Earth, from our forests in Umbria to the rainforests, savannahs and deserts of the tropics, the tundra and the polar ice caps.

The collections and associated educational and cultural initiatives make the Gallery a reference point, not only for the local area, but for all enthusiasts of the natural sciences.
